Take The Problem Gambling Recovery Survey Posted On
We know that recovery from problem gambling is possible. We’ve heard the problem gambling success stories of many individuals, and the stories of the family members and friends around them.
We know recovery is possible, but we want to know more. Throughout the United States, tens of thousands of people are recovering from problem gambling, and many more want to get on the path to change.
- How do you define recovery?
- How did your recovery begin?
- What difficulties do you face today?
What we can learn from you can tremendously help us understand how to guide more people toward their recovery and help us support them for long-term, gambling-free success.
If you are in recovery for problem gambling, we ask that you please participate in a new confidential survey and help us better understand what life is like for you now that you have stopped gambling. What has helped you? What support and resources do you wish you had? Are there certain resources available now you found to be unhelpful?
The survey is being conducted by Massachusetts Council on Problem Gambling, partnered with Connecticut Council on Problem Gambling, the Council on Compulsive Gambling of New Jersey, Problem Gambling Solutions of Portland, Oregon and Arnie and Sheila Wexler Associates of New Jersey.
This confidential survey should take only 10 to 15 minutes to complete. All survey responses will be compiled, so only the data of all responses grouped together will be reviewed – your survey responses will not identify you in any way.
Everything you can tell us will allow problem gambling support programs to be better prepared to help you and other problem gamblers. We appreciate your involvement, and look forward to sharing what we learn with you.
